Massage for Your Health

Pre-Natal Massage | Infant Massage | Hot Stone Massage

Massage therapy sessions typically are one-hour of hands-on time. However, 30-minute and 90-minute sessions can also be scheduled. Please communicate with the massage therapist if you are uncomfortable in any way during your session so changes can be made and you can enjoy YOUR massage.

Several different techniques are integrated into the massage session to meet the needs and goals of the client. Most sessions will include a combination of Swedish massage and neuromuscular work.

Swedish massage is a combination of five basic strokes used to manipulate soft tissue. Movement is towards the heart and stimulates circulation. Benefits of Swedish massage include overall relaxation and improved circulation which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury. Swedish massage creates an overall sense of well-being.

Neuromuscular massage is a deeper massage into the soft tissue used to help balance the central nervous system and the musculoskeletal system. It is a technique used to help release nerve/muscle spasms and increase muscular flexibility. Movement is used to facilitate the release of contracted muscles.
